PET / PA / PA / RCPP: Clear, Reinforced Retort Packaging
Product visibility meets a reinforced nylon construction. Learn how PET, two PA layers and RCPP contribute to a clear pouch designed for retort applications.
Explore this structure
When the product needs to remain visible and the pack calls for added mechanical support, PET / PA / PA / RCPP offers a reinforced clear construction to evaluate. It brings a printable PET surface together with two nylon layers and a retort-grade inner sealing layer, without an aluminium foil layer.
구조물 내부
서로 다른 층. 세심하게 고려된 하나의 패키지.
외부 표면부터 내부 밀봉층까지의 구조를 살펴보세요.
Layer 1 · Printable outer layer
PET
The outer PET surface supports printed presentation and contributes stiffness to the laminate. Keep clear viewing areas in mind when planning the artwork.
Layer 2 · First nylon support layer
PA
Nylon contributes strength and puncture resistance as part of the complete laminate. Match its specification to the product and the converting process.
Layer 3 · Second nylon support layer
PA
An additional PA layer introduces reinforcement for more demanding packs. Confirm the final film balance rather than relying on layer count alone.
Layer 4 · Retort sealing layer
RCPP
The RCPP inner layer provides the sealing surface for the intended retort application. Its grade and the finished seals must be compatible with the agreed process.
확인해 볼 만한 세부 사항
The confirmed inner layer is RCPP. The final retort specification must be agreed for the exact laminate and the intended food process.
적용 분야
사용자의 짐 꾸리는 방식에 맞춰 설계되었습니다.
01
Visible food presentation
A clear construction can show the product inside. Printing can be arranged to retain an appropriate viewing area.
02
Demanding product shapes
The two PA layers are a reinforcement option for products that place more stress on the laminate. Sharp points still require careful evaluation.
03
Retort applications
Assess the filled pouch after the agreed heat process, cooling and subsequent handling, as well as immediately after sealing.
THE SELECTION GUIDE
Keep clarity, strength and process requirements in balance.
A clear laminate and a foil laminate solve different packaging briefs. This construction keeps a view of the contents, while the foil alternative adds an opaque light barrier. Start with the food and its storage needs, then agree the film grades, total thickness, seal design and thermal process before moving from samples to production.

BEFORE YOU REQUEST A SAMPLE
Four details for a better brief.
- Required transparency and the position of printed artwork.
- Product shape, weight and any sharp or rigid contact points.
- Retort conditions and the required seal performance.
- Filled-pack appearance, integrity and handling after processing.
Share the intended use and ask Miaoman to confirm the complete material specification. Evaluate samples with your actual contents and equipment before placing a production order.
COMMON QUESTIONS
A little more clarity.
Is this the same structure as the three-layer diagram?
The diagram below illustrates the base roles of PET, PA and RCPP. This article covers PET / PA / PA / RCPP, which adds a second PA layer for reinforcement.
Can this clear structure provide the same light protection as foil?
No. It does not include an aluminium foil layer and keeps a transparent presentation. Choose the structure according to the product’s light and barrier requirements.
